Tomorrow, are you attending the National Tree Officers Conference in Telford hosted by the London Tree Officers Association, Municipal Tree Officers Association, Association of Tree Officers and Institute of Chartered Foresters?

This year Daisy Brasington will be attending via a Bursary from Fund 4 Trees. Daisy will be encouraging participation in a micro-survey which aims to form a cursory impression of existing post-planting maintenance programmes and sufficiency of revenue funding available for such programmes.

We want to know whether Tree Officers perceive these factors as worthy of further research and/or whether there are other factors you would consider important to investigate in relation to successful tree establishment.

The results of this survey will be used to refine our approach to conducting more detailed research into the efficacy of tree establishment in urban environments; the ultimate aim of which is to ensure funds invested in planting initiatives deliver value for money and provide the benefits intended.

So keep an eye out for Daisy in the breaks and feel free to ask her any questions you have about the survey or direction of this research.
