Fund4Trees is a charity (No.1152318) promoting sustainable treescapes by:
- promoting for the benefit of the public the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment by promoting sustainable treescapes.
- advancing the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of trees in the physical and natural environment.
- advancing research for the public benefit in all aspects of trees and to publish the useful results.
Our main activity is running an annual cycling event, Ride for Research, that is completed by professionals working in arboriculture and forestry, and who are sponsored by friends, businesses and members of the public. The riders complete a short tour and en route visit schools and communities to plant trees and to talk about the importance of trees. Funds raised are passed on to scientists working to secure a sustainable future for trees in our landscapes (treescapes).
The Ride for Research event is affiliated with a number of core supporters including the UK & Ireland Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, the Arboricultural Association and the Institute of Chartered Foresters
