Ride for Research – 2014 – open to applicants

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for riders wishing to take part in the 2014 Ride for Research in Egham, Surrey on Sunday 14th September.

It has been timed to coincide with the Arboricultural Association’s annual conference (and 50th anniversary) to be held between September 14-17 at Royal Holloway, University of London. The ride will join the AA Ancient Tree Management workshop (led by Ted Green & Bill Cathcart) in the early afternoon before returning to the College. More information about the AA conference

We will ride a circular 25m ride of two halves, starting from the conference venue at Royal Holloway College, through the leafy back lanes of Chobham Common (National Nature Reserve & SSSI) to the winding paths within Windsor Great Park.

The ride is open to anyone working as a professional in forestry or arboriculture. If you don’t want to ride yourself but would like to volunteer to support the 2014 Ride for Research, please let us know how you would like to help.

Riders will be asked to use Just Giving to raise money for our charitable work. A rider can set up a fundraising page for the event on JustGiving – click on button below.
