Our Research Advisory Committee plays a vital role for Fund4Trees, ensuring that we provide funding where it will have most beneficial impacts on trees and urban landscapes. We are therefore pleased to announce the appointment of a new member to the committee: Dr Andrew Hirons, Senior Lecture in arboriculture at Myerscough College.

Speaking of his appointment, Andrew said:
I’m delighted to have the opportunity to contribute the Fund4Trees’ Research Advisory Committee. Sources of funding for research are scarce in arboriculture, this makes Fund4Trees a key actor in driving innovation for our industry. As I am also part of the Arboriculture Association’s Education and Training committee, I look forward to the opportunity to liaise between the two organisations and help develop a shared vision for UK arboricultural research.
Funding for research is vital for any progressive industry and I look forward with anticipation to the new insights and practices emerging from work supported by Fund4Trees.
